Terms & Conditions

The terms on which we sell, buy and part-exchange pre-owned Rolex watches.

Last reviewed: July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions govern your use of https://www.thecrownvault.co.uk and any purchase, sale or part-exchange with Crown Vault Ltd (“The Crown Vault”, “we”, “us”). By using our website or placing an order you accept these terms. Please read them carefully; they do not affect your statutory rights.

2. About us & how to contact us

Crown Vault Ltd (trading as The Crown Vault) is an independent UK retailer of pre-owned Rolex watches, registered in England & Wales under Company No. 17036066, registered office Crown House, 94 Armley Road, Leeds LS12 2EJ. You can reach us at info@thecrownvault.co.uk or +44 7868 170938.

3. Independence & trademarks

The Crown Vault is an independent retailer of pre-owned Rolex watches and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or an authorised dealer of Rolex SA or any of its subsidiaries. ROLEX and all model names (Submariner, Daytona, Datejust, GMT-Master II, etc.) are registered trademarks of Rolex SA, used here for descriptive purposes only. All watches are guaranteed genuine and are supplied with The Crown Vault’s own warranty.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to buy from us. High-value purchases are subject to identity and source-of-funds verification (see clause 10).

5. Products, condition & authenticity

All watches are pre-owned unless expressly stated otherwise. Every watch is independently authenticated by our watchmakers and guaranteed genuine. Descriptions, condition grades, images and specifications are provided in good faith and as accurately as possible; minor variations consistent with a pre-owned item are to be expected, and slight colour differences may arise from photography and screens. Where a watch is not accompanied by original box or papers this is clearly stated and does not affect our authenticity guarantee.

6. Price & payment

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors before accepting your order. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Bank transfer — by Faster Payments or CHAPS to our business account; your watch is reserved and released once funds clear.
  • Bitcoin (BTC) — at an exchange rate locked at checkout for a limited period.
  • USDT (Tether) — on the ERC-20 or TRC-20 network.
  • Part-exchange — trade in a watch you already own against your purchase, subject to our valuation.

Payment instructions are issued when you place your order. Title and risk are addressed in clause 8.

7. Orders & formation of contract

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it — and a contract is formed — only when we confirm dispatch of the watch. If we cannot accept your order (for example, the watch has sold, we identify a pricing error, or verification checks are not satisfied) we will tell you promptly and refund any payment taken.

8. Title & risk

Risk in a watch passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes only once we have received payment in full and cleared funds and the watch has been delivered.

9. Delivery, returns & warranty

Delivery is free, fully insured and tracked, as set out on our Shipping & Returns page. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel an eligible online purchase within 14 days of receipt and return it for a refund; the watch must be returned complete and in the same condition. Every watch is covered by our 24-month warranty. These pages form part of these terms. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — that goods be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose — are unaffected.

10. Identity & anti-money-laundering checks

As a dealer in high-value goods we are required to carry out customer due diligence. We may ask for proof of identity, proof of address and evidence of source of funds, and may decline or delay a transaction until satisfactory checks are complete. This applies in particular to high-value and cryptocurrency payments.

11. Selling & part-exchange

Where you sell or part-exchange a watch with us, you confirm that you are the legal owner (or authorised to sell), that the watch is free of any finance, lien or claim, and that it is genuine. Valuations are indicative until the watch has been inspected by our watchmakers. Details are set out on our Sell Your Rolex and Part-Exchange pages.

12. Payment & part-exchange

The Crown Vault does not offer, arrange or broker consumer credit or finance. Payment is by the methods listed in clause 11. You may also part-exchange a watch you already own against your purchase, subject to our valuation and inspection.

13. Acceptable use of our website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it in any way that could damage or impair it. All content on the site is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual-property law.

14. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the price paid for the relevant watch, and we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable.

15. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control. If such an event occurs we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise any delay.

16. Complaints & governing law

If something is not right, please contact us and we will work to resolve it. These terms and any dispute are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order.
